where does KidArt store its photos?

KidArt creates a KidArt album in your Photos library to store its photos. Using your Photos library means that photos added to KidArt are just as safe and accessible as the photos you take with your iPhone camera. KidArt photos participate in Photos backups and syncing. On the downside, KidArt photos do contribute to iCloud storage limits.

Where does KidArt store its photo captions?

KidArt stores your photo captions in iCloud. Unfortunately Apple does not provide a mechanism to integrate with the captions in the Photos app, so KidArt’s captions are separate.

Why does KidArt need full access to my Photos library?

KidArt requires full access to your Photos library in order to manage its own photos, to import existing photos, and to export its photos to other Photos albums.

How do I get photos into KidArt?

Import art photos from your Photos library by tapping the menu button and choosing Import from Photos. Or take new photos of artwork using KidArt’s camera with built-in scanner.

How many photos can KidArt store?

KidArt is limited to 20 photos until you subscribe. After subscribing, KidArt’s photo count is only limited by the storage available to your Photos library.

Does KidArt sync?

If you have iCloud Photos enabled, KidArt content syncs alongside the rest of your Photos library. Captions you add in KidArt also sync across your devices if you are signed into iCloud.

How long do photos take to sync?

KidArt relies on the iCloud syncing built into Photos. It is typically fast, but it can occasionally take hours. Unfortunately KidArt is unable to monitor or report sync progress on photo syncing. Caption syncing also uses iCloud, and it is usually almost instant.

Can I delete the KidArt album in Photos?

No. Do not delete the KidArt album or change its contents. Doing so can cause the app to malfunction.

Can I delete photos from the photos app after adding them to KidArt?

No. Deleting a photo from your Photos library will also delete it from KidArt’s Photos album. You may remove KidArt photos from your other Photos albums, but you must not delete the photos themselves.
