Ordering from Mpix

Mpix is a photo printing service with a wide assortment of print and merchandise options and a reputation for high quality. Mpix and KidArt are not affiliated in any way. To order prints and merchandise from Mpix:

  1. Download and open the Mpix Tap To Print app from the App Store.

  2. Use the Mpix app to select the product you wish to purchase.

  3. When the app prompts you to select photos from your Photos library, choose Albums.

  4. In the Albums view, you will see albums with the names and birthdays of the artists you’ve added to KidArt, as well as KidArt’s All album. Select your desired artwork from these albums.

    If you’d like to use KidArt’s search and filtering features to pre-group the photos you’d like to order instead, we describe that process in Selecting Photos to Order below.

  5. Complete your order using the Mpix app.

Note: If you sync your Photos content to your Mac, you can also use your personal computer to order from the Mpix website. When Mpix prompts you to select photos, find your art albums in the KidArt folder of your Photos library.

 

Ordering from Shutterfly

Shutterfly is a very popular photo service with a huge assortment of print and merchandise options. Shutterfly and KidArt are not affiliated in any way. To order prints and merchandise from Shutterfly:

  1. Download and open the Shutterfly app from the App Store.

  2. Use the Shutterfly app to select the product you wish to purchase.

  3. When the app allows you to select your photo source, choose Local Photos.

  4. Shutterfly may default to displaying all of your photos in reverse chronological order. Tap the Change button to see your albums list.

  5. In the albums list, you will see albums with the names and birthdays of the artists you’ve added to KidArt, as well as KidArt’s All album. Select your desired artwork from these albums.

    If you’d like to use KidArt’s search and filtering features to pre-group the photos you’d like to order instead, we describe that process in Selecting Photos to Order below.

  6. Complete your order using the Shutterfly app.

Note: If you sync your Photos content to your Mac, you can also use your personal computer to order from the Shutterfly website. When Shutterfly prompts you to select photos, find your art albums in the KidArt folder of your Photos library.

 

Ordering from other services

KidArt stores your artwork in your Photos library, making it accessible to any photo service you like!

  1. Most printing services provide an interface to your Photos library. Use their interface to navigate to your library’s album list.

  2. In the album list, look for the KidArt folder. Some services may hide folders and put all albums into a single top-level list. Find the albums with the names and birthdays of the artists you’ve added to KidArt, as well as KidArt’s All album. Select your desired artwork from these albums.

Note: If you sync your Photos content to your Mac, you can also use your personal computer to order from most websites. Use their photo picker to view your Photos library, and navigate to the KidArt folder to find your art albums.

 

Selecting photos to order

You may want to use KidArt to put the photos you want into pre-made groups for merchandise ordering.

  1. Select photos in KidArt. Consider using KidArt’s search and filtering features to find the photos you’re interested in:

    1. Enter an art album. Tap the action button and choose Search photos.

    2. Use the search field to search your photo captions. Tap the filter button next to the search field to filter your photos by artists, date range, and favorite status.

  2. Tap the action button and choose Select photos to begin selecting photos.

  3. After selecting the photos of interest, tap the action button again and choose Share.

  4. Tap Add to Photos Album on the resulting share sheet.

  5. Select an existing album from your Photos library, or tap the + button to add your selected photos to a new album.

You can now navigate to the target album to find your photos when ordering from the photo service of your choice.
